City's 'refresh' program may affect your drive

Troy's annual spring cleaning program  is set to begin on Monday. Being aware of the work may help you navigate driving around the city.

“Operation Refresh 2026” coincides with the city’s street cleaning dates and locations. It also will include deep cleaning of alleyways, and improvements to parks and public spaces throughout Troy.

“Maintaining clean streets, neighborhoods, and public spaces is essential to building community pride and improving quality of life for all our residents," said Mayor Carmella Mantello. "I encourage residents to play an active role by pitching in and following the spring-cleaning schedule so you can prepare accordingly.”

Crews will work block by block, both on foot and with city vehicles, to ensure thorough cleaning of streets and alleyways. "No Parking"  signs will be posted in advance and removed once work is complete.

To further support cleanup efforts, free bulk-trash dropoff days will continue for city residents at the Troy Resource Management Facility (formerly called the Alamo) in South Troy. The schedule and details are available on Facebook.

Residents can view the full street and alleyway spring cleaning schedule on the City’s official website.
