The City of Troy and Rensselaer County are partnering with the Town of Bethlehem for the "2025 Household Hazardous Waste Disposal Events."
As explained in a Troy news release, "The program consists of four events providing residents ... the opportunity to safely dispose of hazardous materials not accepted through normal garbage collection service."
Such events will not be collecting electronics, tires, or shredding. Those items will be collected at separate events, where offered by specific municipalities
The first event will be held on Saturday, May 10, at the Troy Resource Management Facility (aka The Alamo) at 3000 Main Street. Participating municipalities will include the cities of Troy and Rensselaer, and the towns of Grafton, North Greenbush, Schodack, and Bethlehem. Advanced registration is required.
Residents must visit their participating municipalities' website to register.
