'Pig Out,' 'Gilded Age' causing Troy traffic rerouting

Streets affected by 'Pig Out.'

As many roads in the City of Troy are being rebuilt due to repairs of broken water mains, pothole fixes, TV series filming, etc., getting around via car has been quite tricky this summer.

That situation won't change this weekend, with the confluence of HBO crews continuing to film episodes of "The Gilded Age" and the annual barbecue festival known as the "Troy Pig Out."

Here's the latest info from the City about traffic advisories for Sunday:

Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the following roads will be closed to normal traffic because of the "Pig Out" -- 1st Street from River to State; 2nd State from River to State; Broadway from River to 3rd plus 3rd to 4th and 4th to 5th.

Sunday, from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m., the following roads will be closed to normal traffic because of the HBO filming -- Pawling Avenue from Linden to Spring; Pawling Avenue from Hawthorne to Walker. Note: All traffic is being detoured to Spring Avenue.
