In addition to the many longstanding signs greeting motorists crossing the Collar City bridge, add the one shown above.
As noted in a Times Union story, "TROY -- It’s OK to say no to panhandlers. That’s the message proffered by a new sign on Hoosick Street next to the Collar City Bridge. It includes a link to a city webpage showing a list of nonprofit groups where the charitable may send donations instead."
Meanwhile, no word about insisting the panhandlers clean up the discarded cardboard, beverage containers, sandwich wrappers, cigarette butts, etc., they habitually leave behind on the bridge.
